Christiansen Article Article written for English teachers The concepts relate to our class and what you will learn Read only the underlined sections

Teaching Philosophy Ideas from the Christiansen Article Students tend to be cautious in school… because teachers give them a reason to be nervous. Our society will judge you based on your ability to read, write, and speak in English. Knowing English grammar offers you a better place in society. I want you to be successful in the world, so I teach you the rules at school. Most students are afraid to make mistakes in writing.

Teaching Philosophy Ideas from the Christiansen Article 6. Your good ideas are often missed because of the mistakes you make on the surface. 7. Sharing writing and experiences helps everyone survive high school. 8. Your future will be set based on your ability to use the English language. 9. You need to think about the society we live in, and why people are excluded based on their language. 10. Students should learn how to use language, but also demonstrate creativity and new thinking.

Learning Philosophy With the person next to you, I want you to create a learning philosophy On a piece of poster paper… List some conditions that you must have in order to learn. List some reasons why English might be difficult for you. List some things that teachers do that you like. List some things that teachers do that you hate. List some things that your peers do that you hate. Pick one word to describe what the perfect classroom would look like.
