The background consists of a TV while a game is going on which is the Super Mario game. This shows that the Wii U supports the Super Mario game. Therefore, customers who are interested can go and buy the game themselves. The background is also blue linking to the branding of the ‘Wii U’ being blue. This is because they want to sell out the colour blue of being happy and cheerful. As this is the connotations of the colour blue. In addition, they are carrying out the brand colour to sell out the Wii U. The ‘Wii U’ branding is on the screen of the console. This shows copyright and that the branding is consistent in every gaming advert. This is because it will tell audience that this game is only for a Wii U. Therefore, audiences can recognise that this is a Wii U advert. The soft blurred effect on the background can catch many eyes of the audience. This is because it makes it cool to look at. Also, because it isn’t completely blurred. We are able to clearly see what game is being played. Wii U controller in the centre and focused. This shows that this advert is for a Wii U console or a game that is coming out soon.
