Complete 3 grids throughout the fortnight as well! Can you complete each box in under 3 minutes? The times table you are practicing this week are the 3, 8, and 10’s! Try to read a wide range of materials such as information books, poems, stories, reports, recipes, instructions etc. Record your reading in your diary everyday. Your spellings for this fortnight are to be learnt for a test the week beginning Monday 31st October 2016. You can choose to learn 6, 12 or all of them. Some great films to choose might be ‘Wall-E’ (U) ‘ET’ (U), ‘Star Wars’ (PG), ‘Space Jam’ (U), or ‘Apollo 13 (PG13). How many stars would you rate the film? 3) So far, 24 astronauts have visited the moon. Find out their names, download pictures and record any interesting facts about them. 4) Using non-fiction books and online research, find out the names of some of the best known star constellations. On a clear night, try and identify them. Draw diagrams of those you have spotted. Do you think the names they have been given suit them? 5) Design your own planet thinking about how it looks, its size, what it is made of, whether there are signs of life and so on. Draw it and label or annotate with all the details.
