The Earth Summit The Earth Summit is a meeting held by the United Nations to discuss environmental issues. The first Earth Summit was held in Stockholm, capital of Sweden, to exchange ideas on how to protect the earth. Since 1972 to 2002, it has altogether been held 21 times,each with a theme.For example, The first -- the Human Environment 14th--- Action for equality,development and peace 21st---Sustainable Development

Why do people call the “big three” the three biggest killers in the world?

water pollution It is estimated that over 1 billion people---about one-fifth of the world’s population---lack access of safe drinking water. A child dies every eight seconds from contaminated water, with total deaths every year of over 5 million people. As the human population continues to grow, the problem of availability of supplies of safe drinking water is to be worse.
