Hardness Definitions : Hardness is defined as the ability of a material to resist plastic deformation. Hardness is a measure of how resistant solid matter is to various kinds of permanent shape change when a compressive force is applied. Hardness is the resistance of a material to localized deformation. 

Hardness Testing The Basic Procedure of Hardness calculation is Fundamentally same .
