Honorable Battles Company, LLC Cruise Insights: Norwegian: Norwegian’s Cruise as You Go platform is not resonating with its customer base prior to booking their cruises. There is a high level of dissatisfaction in its cruise experience, especially with spa and relaxation. Norwegian’s ability to reach the upper middle class is nearly non-existent. Carnival: Carnival is losing market share to Royal Caribbean. Customers claimed better port of call experiences with Royal Caribbean, which has a newer and physically larger fleet. What customers enjoyed least about Carnival was its onboard entertainment, which is concerning as Carnival is known as the Fun Ship. Royal Caribbean: Royal Caribbean seems poised to take greater market share; however its brand loyalty may be prime to being disrupted. Of all cruise lines, if a cruise were not available at time of booking, its customer base is most likely to consider alternative options like an AirBNB at a destination of interest.
