School-Wide Reminders Students should not be on campus before 8:10 am unless eating breakfast (beginning at 7:55 am) Parents must sign in at the office if on campus at any time, even before school (8:10) Parents need to stay on the walkway by the office when waiting for students after school School App (download now!)

Technology Chromebooks (1:1 this year!) Google Apps for Education – home & school Research, Presentations, Word Processing, Collaboration Lexia, I-Ready, and Prodigy are used in the classroom and can be used at home too! Links are on the class website.

Binder/Organization Binders MUST be at least 1 ½ inches wide Every paper has a place, nothing should be stuffed in the backpack or desk Important to follow and be consistent Help kids to put away any papers that are not behind the tabs where they belong Use the binder organization sheet as a reference if needed

Homework Reading Log (signature required) - 20 minutes Math facts practice– (signature required) -10 minutes AR – 10% progress toward goal each week (begins first week of September). Progress will be reported each week on Reading/Math Facts Log page Agenda signature Language Arts – DLI (grammar) Math (daily - about 5 problems ) Finish class work One book project per month (see outline of projects and due dates for all year)

Behavior Awards points to students for participating, working hard, being on task, helping others, teamwork, and persistence Students rewarded for points earned Deducts points for being unprepared or off task, talking out of turn, disrespect, etc. If a student loses 3 points in one day, he/she will receive a citation. Parents can log in to the website to see student’s points (flyer with code provided)

Progress Reports On website weekly (via Aeries Parent Portal – beginning October 1st) Emailed home first Tuesday of every Month Paper copy sent home halfway through each trimester
