Visual Elements. At the start of the AS we will be looking at the visual elements needed to successfully produce a portfolio of work: Line Colour Tone Shape Pattern Texture Form Please look up each of these in a dictionary and write out the definition.

Line: drawing with stitch. Complete some (approx. 5) observational drawings using line e.g. draw shells, flowers, leaves, feathers etc. Complete line drawings using stitches, either using the sewing machine or by hand, in a similar way to Cas Holmes, Jo Butcher, Anne Brooke or Rosanne Geissler. Complete another stitched line drawing based on a different artist.
