Changes in reporting across BC No significant changes in grades 10 to 12 Post secondary transition will guide the changes In grades 10 to 12 Provincial examinations in Science 10, Socials 11 and Language Art 10 – removed Provincial math skills exam – before graduation Provincial literacy exam – before graduation

The New Reporting Order Published on August 15, 2016 An Interim Order Option A – new policy Option B – Follow the new order Intended to enable the implementation of the revised curriculum Engagement and discussion (parents and the Board) It indicates direction for the communication of student learning Core competencies - student self-reporting Reporting by curricular competencies (subject areas)

The New Reporting Order At least 5 reports – 3 formal and 2 in other ways Must report on student progress in the discipline areas Must report on all discipline areas by the end of the school year Must include student self-assessment on the core competencies with teacher support Principles of quality assessment
