Pre-K/K Fun with Mrs. Alkire & Ms. Wallace Francis W. Parker Montessori School #56

Lots to do in the classroom… This is Gavin tweezing ghost and putting them in a pumpkin shaped ice tray. Kaniyah is learning to apply lip gloss!

This is Benny. He is using tweezers to pluck seeds from a real sunflower! This is Michael plucking real corn kernels off of the cob. He plucked every piece of corn off this cob in one setting and loved it!

Maleah is hammering golf tees into a real pumpkin! Kevin works very intently on a lock and key activity!

Olivia is tonging turkey pieces left to right, in a transferring activity. Kaniyah is doing a matching activity with seasonal objects.

-Art with a Heart- This is a program that mixes literature with art! We participate in Art with a Heart every Wednesday. These are students making a lion face using many kinds of art media to go along with the story Roar!

-Field Trips- We took a field trip to Stuckey Farms! We learned all about how apples grow, the importance of bees, tasted apples and apple cider and even got to take a wagon ride!

The day after our trip to Stuckey Farm, we made apple sauce-YUMMY!

We visited Tuttle’s Orchard on October 20th We visited Tuttle’s Orchard on October 20th. We had a picnic lunch, picked our own apples, took a tractor/wagon ride, picked our own pumpkin and played in the kidszone!
