Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida was formed in 1983 as a Bank Holding company and in 2006 the bank’s name was changed to Seacoast National Bank . Seacoast has continued to grow both through acquisitions and organically with currents assets of $3.5 Billion, deposits in excess of $2.4 Billion. 43 branch bank locations across South and Central Florida’s markets as far north as Daytona. Most recently Seacoast acquired 14 offices in the Orlando market from BMO Harris. Seacoast began as Indian River County Bank in Sebastian, FL in 1926, later moved to Okeechobee in 1930 and became Citizen Bank of Okeechobee. In 1933 Citizen Bank of Stuart began operating and the bank changed its name to First National Bank of Stuart in 1958 opening its first branch office in Jensen Beach.
