An Easter reflection Romans 8:31-34

Q: What is the significance of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead? A: It signifies that God is for us, and nothing is ultimately against us!

31 What then shall we say to these things 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. (Romans 8:31-34)

Significance of Resurrection 1. God is For Us He is not against us in wrath – He does not condemn us but justifies us He will freely give us all things No person or creature in the universe can bring a valid charge against us

Significance of Resurrection 1. God is For Us grounded in Christ’s resurrection/exaltation without the resurrection of Jesus there is no justification of sinners (cf. Rom. 4:25) God’s verdict for us is present and manifest in the resurrected Christ

Significance of Resurrection 2. Nothing is Ultimately Against Us we overwhelmingly conquer through Christ anything that threatens to separate us from Him God, who is for us, causes all these things to work for our eternal good

Q: What is the significance of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead? A: It signifies that God is for us, and nothing is ultimately against us!
