FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT

INTRODUCTION A person spends lot of time at home. To create a suitable place for meeting the basic needs of the family, it is important that the equipment and supply required for various are arranged in an organized manner. The most important among these is furniture. It’s selection and arrangement requires considerable attention. Furniture is a symbol of prestige for the family. The type of furniture depicts the personality, intelligence and choice of family members. Another important thing is that buying of furniture requires heavy financial investment. Therefore, families should plan before buying it.

FACTORS AFFECTING THE SELECTION OF FURNITURE Economic status of the family Requirement of the family members Type and size of the room Interests and liking of the family member Pieces of furniture inherited by the family Types of other furnishings used in the house Location of the house Family living in a rented/owned house
