Kiwanis Family Programs T.E.R.R.I.F.I.C (Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, Capable) Promotes character development, self-esteem, & perseverance Students work to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance, or schoolwork, for kids age 6-12 Recognition may include: Being pinned as a Terrific Kid!, certificates, etc. Sponsored by Kiwanis-family clubs B.U.G (Building Up Grades) Designed to recognize students who raise their grades to an acceptable range, for kids age 6-12 Recognition may include: BUG Honor Roll, certificates, etc.

Strengthening Bonds with Kiwanis Attend a Kiwanis DCM/Club Meeting Find out: which Kiwanis division you belong to/which club sponsors you, when & where Kiwanis DCMs/Club meetings are held Get to know your Kiwanis Lt. Governor Get to know your Kiwanis Advisor Get their contact information and keep them updated Invite Kiwanians to Key Club meetings and DCM’s Officer Training Conference Ask your Kiwanis Club if they’d be interested in helping out with OTC, giving presentations, or help carpool members, Ask for sponsorship for food or for the facility
Strengthen Bonds with Other Kiwanis Family Members Co-sponsor a K-Kids or Builders Club at a local elementary/middle school Visit them, assist with meetings and service projects Meet your Circle K Lt. Governor Circle K members can serve as a mentor for Key Clubbers and give advice for college Hold a joint event with a local Circle K, attend Key 2 College As for any other Kiwanis Families If they have an event coming up, ask if Key Club could help out Plan joint service events with them, ask if they’d like to cosponsor an event/fundraiser
Why Be Involved with the Kiwanis Family? Our Kiwanis Family spans through several generations and levels of education Opportunities for networking, connections, and making new friendships are innumerable Financial aid opportunities for things like ICON and DCON, and sometimes scholarships/grants for students The older members of our family may be able to serve as chaperones for the younger members to events Give and receive support other Kiwanis Family Branches
Kiwanis One Day The Kiwanis Service Initiative is observed worldwide in April and is referred to as Kiwanis One Day Kiwanis One Day is April 2nd, 2017 Clubs are encouraged to join with all levels of the Kiwanis Family on this day of community service It’s an opportunity to showcase the Kiwanis Family and the commitment to service in the community
Key Leader Kiwanis International’s weekend experiential leadership program for today’s young leaders (high school students) Focuses on service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadership-development experience Mission: to provide a life-changing experience that inspires young people to achieve their personal best through service leadership Key Leader builds personal integrity, personal growth, respect, building community, and the pursuit of excellence
