Eastern Missouri Transportation Coordinating Council Vision “People within the region get where they want to go.” Mission “Sustain a regional partnership for better community access through transportation coordination and mobility management.”

Mobility Management Coordinates with transportation providers to increase efficiency Improves access and reduces costs for providers and riders Forms partnerships with regional agencies, employers and other stakeholders to provide more transportation choices in Missouri. Expands the Mobility Management Program to better serve Missouri residents. Mobility Management

GOALS Overcome transportation challenges by working with existing transportation providers to help people with disabilities older adults and low income individuals More people will get rides to work and other destinations

Existing Public Transportation ● Increases economic growth ● Creates jobs ● Improves air quality Use of existing public transportation increases economic growth, creates sustainable jobs, improves air quality, and increases access to health care/social services and recreational venues that all generate local revenue. ● Increases access to health care, social services and recreational venues which generate local revenue

COMMUNITY EDUCATION GOAL: Increase efficiency through advocacy, coordination, and education STRATEGY: Educate the government, public and service agencies about existing transportation services

Need a ride in Missouri? MORIDES.ORG MO RIDES was launched December 18, 2014 Many of you may have heard of the MO Rides.org website. Our website is a user friendly site. The site was launched for public use December 18, 2014. The site offers a wealth of information. (As shown in the top picture here) When you first access the site you see various tabs you can select. When the Need A Ride tab is selected the site will direct you to: (The second screen shot.) On this page you will see a list of all 114 counties in Missouri. You will select the county that you live in and a list of available transportation providers will be displayed. When you select a specific provider the site will provide you with contact information for the transportation provider. It’s that easy! Need a ride in Missouri?

Transportation providers are continuously uploaded into the MORIDES transportation network.

We work closely with the public transportation providers to obtain their route schedules.

I am Holly Kreienkamp. I am the Mobility Manager for MRPC. I have been asked to provide an update on accomplishments to date on the Mobility Management Transportation Plan. I began working with the Mobility Transportation Plan on September 8, 2015 Once I became orientated with the plan I immediately began the process of introduction. Many of you may have received the e-mail blast I sent out introducing myself.

This mobility management program is funded by grants. New Freedom Grant (FTA-5317) from the Missouri Department of Transportation (through June 2017) FTA 5310 Grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation (through September 2018) Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council under provisions of PL 106-402, the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act. (through September 2019) St. Charles County Developmental Disabilities Resource Board (October 2016 through September 2019)

Warren County Developmental Disabilities Board, 2016 and 2017 City of St. Charles, 2016 and 2017 Warren County Developmental Disabilities Board, 2016 and 2017 Mission Statement It is the mission of the Warren County Developmental Disabilities Board (Warren Co. DD Board) to promote quality services for persons who have developmental disabilities and reside in Warren County.

SUCCESS STORIES Dialysis patient needed a ride from Wright City to Troy. Transit provider suggested she change her dialysis to Wentzville and suggested a time that another patient went to same facility. Cost of trip was reduced from $70 to $8 round trip. Surgery patient needed to go from Montgomery City to St. Charles. Worked with transit provider to stop in New Florence for the pick up, and stop again in St. Charles to return her to New Florence. Vision impaired person needed to go from Warrenton to Columbia. Transit provider stopped at the Warrenton Commuter lot to pick rider up.
