Class K Autumn Term Chocolate! Science DT PSHE We will be looking at evolution and inheritance in Science this term. We will be learning about changes that have happened in nature over millions of years. We will learn how plants and animals adapt to these changes. Our skill focus will be learning and using scientific language as well as looking at secondary resources and evaluating them. Chocolate! This half term we are looking at Chocolate! We will be using our geographical skills to learn about Brazil, a country which grows the cocoa bean that we need to make chocolate. We will be learning about what the country is like, the climate and how the citizens live. We will be looking at fair trade and will be tasting some chocolate ourselves! Celebrate! We would love to invite parents to come and try the chocolate that the children have made. Keep your eye out for a letter later in the term! DT We are having a DT day this term where we will be making our own chocolate. We will be looking at what ingredients we want to use and presenting it well. The skills we will be using are researching and designing appealing products as well as investigation and evaluating the products that are already available to make ours better. Hopefully, we will have some great results! Music We will have Mr Muncaster back in to teach us some more music! We will be learning to play in an ensemble. PSHE This term in PSHE we will be looking at growing and changing. We will look at what happens to us as we get older and how our responsibilities might change. P.E. We are going to be doing some dancing in P.E.! As we are learning about Brazil, we will be doing some Samba dancing! We will be learning new moves and creating our own dances. Some great exercise! Computing This term we will be looking at how to stay safe online. We will be focusing on how to use technology respectfully.
