(If you do, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to notify the colleges of the changes.)

TESTING ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ACT Score Report and test dates www.actstudent.org to send official score report to schools - Next test date for ACT: October 22 (Registration deadline September 6) Late registration is Sept. 27 – Sept. 30) December 10 (Registration deadline November 4) Technical Colleges - Accuplacer: www.fvtc.edu and enter “Accuplacer” in the search box. Registration and practice tests will be available at this site. - ACT may be used in place of the Accuplacer. Military – ASVAB - Will be offered at HHS on February 9. - Sign up in the School Counseling Office

FINANCIAL AID (FAFSA) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Senior Parent Financial Aid Night - HHS: September 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium - Financial Aid expert will present information about the new and updated financial aid process - www.fafsa.ed.gov College Goal Wisconsin - FVTC: January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. - UW-Oshkosh: November 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. - Help with FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) - Drawings for scholarships at all sites! - www.collegegoalwi.org

SCHOLARSHIPS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A list of scholarships received from outside sources is compiled, updated weekly and posted on the bulletin board in the School Counseling Office and also on the HHS Counseling page. www.hasd.org/schools/hs/Scholarships.cfm Local Scholarship Application deadline is February 28, 2017 Check with Employers and Community Organizations. Lots of free scholarship searches online but Watch for SCAMS! If in doubt, call us! There should not be an application fee for a scholarship.

SENIOR YEAR OPTIONS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Youth Options: Application deadline is October 3* for Semester 2 courses. Information packet in the Counseling Office.
