On behalf of the whole Retirement Dietary it is my honor and privilege to invite interested Residents for a tour of our Retirement Kitchen on April 12th. We look forward providing you an opportunity to see where all your meals are prepared. Other activities for the month of April are a Culinary Tour of Hawaii, Foods of the Old Ball Game and a National Pretzel Day Celebration. Thank you to LTC residents for your requests regarding changes to the menus. We appreciate all of your suggestions and will implement the changes as soon as possible. Culinary Quote of the Month “Good food is all the sweeter when shared with good friends.” -Author Unknown Anna Prendergast Director of Dietary Services & Chris Zouzal Retirement Dietary Supervisor Kensington Village Retirement/Nursing Home Spring has sprung and construction is almost done!!! Until construction is over, please continue to follow the signs to the rear entrance of the building(if accessing the nursing home). With the snow gone, there are some areas of landscaping that has been affected. We have contracted a new landscape provider to help us beautify our outdoor spaces. New outdoor furniture has been ordered to help us enjoy some our new courtyards. Again, if you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me through the front office. Any questions, please call: Leslie DuCharme @ 519-455-3910 ext-255 Any questions regarding the construction please call: Amy Schlegel @ 519-476-8088 When the ground hog casts his shadow And the small birds sing And the pussy willows happen And the sun shines warm And when the peeps peep Then it is Spring” Margaret Wise Brown **There will be a LTC Family Council Lunch Meeting April 25th 2016.** From Administration Spring is upon us and we are hoping the dark and rainy weather of March leads to sunny and warm days. As the weather gets nice we will be starting our outdoor walks again. Just a reminder to go slowly when coming in and out of the parking lot and watch for Residents as they enjoy the warm days ahead. This will entail activation help along with housekeeping. We will be cleaning all rooms with residents help or without them, your choice. Family members are welcome to join us to help purge and bring the clean spring time into our home. Any questions please feet free to call me at 519-455-3910 Ext 277. We would also like to remind you all that those pesky pests will come in if food is not kept in baggies or containers. Very soon the cleaning of our gardens will be happening to get rid of the winter dirt and debris. Window cleaning will be done soon also, no date set at this time. It will be the thorough cleaning inside and out. Once a date is confirmed I will inform you all! Health and Happiness, Glenna Grimmer Environmental Services
