How to develop a Sustainable Energy Action Plan? Aim – Baseline determination. (Situation in Energy sector – fuel consumption for such forms of energy like electricity, heat and transport.)

Energy potential of renewable energy sources in Kaunas region

Overall conclusions Five discussion tables were organized in Kaunas City Municipality. The representatives from Kaunas City Municipality, research and educational institutions, energy service companies, business, NGOs, consulting companies, experts in thematic fields were invited. The current situation in Kaunas city energy sector was presented. The initial SWOT matrix was discussed. The essential directions of sustainable development of Kaunas city energy sector are as follows: Renovation of residential and public buildings DH network renovation Kaunas CHP modernization Modernization of Petrašiūnai Plant for biofuel utilization Erection of communal waste incineration power plant.
