ASB Officer Elections for 2017-2018 Lathrop Intermediate College Prep Wednesday, June 14th 2017 ASB Officer Elections for 2017-2018 Summer Opportunities

Announcements 8th Grade students will be able to donate their old uniforms Where: Russell Gate When: Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th in the morning starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 8:10 a.m. If you donate a uniform, you get to have free dress for the rest of the year (8th grade only)

8th Grade Dance When: Friday 6/16/17 Time: 4-6pm Who: 8th grade ONLY It's Tiki Time! When: Friday 6/16/17 Time: 4-6pm Who: 8th grade ONLY *8th graders must meet the requirements to attend

8th Grade Dance DRESS CODE Boys: Hawaiian theme shirts (long sleeve or short sleeve), plain shirts, pants or shorts. No basketball shorts or sandals Girls: Hawaiian theme shirts, dresses, skirts ( must hit the knee) No halter tops, tube-tops, spaghetti straps, see-through tops, crop tops, bralettes, or sandals.

Yearbook Distribution 8th Grade: 6/15/17 You will receive your yearbooks at the 8th Grade Social on THURSDAY 6th & 7th Grade: 6/16/17 After school in front of Room 102(Parent Center) You will need to exit the school and line up OUTSIDE in front of school.

High School Summer School Computer science bootcamp will be held at Santa Ana High School July 10 - August 11 Monday – Friday from 8:30am - 12:30pm 8th graders only Workshops will cover several topics including: computer science fundamentals, computer programming with Python, introduction to electronics, and hands-on Raspberry Pi projects. Workshops will also include a series of professionals presenting on their experiences in the tech industry and field trips to local tech companies. Santa Ana & Century High Schools Students were enrolled during 8th grade visits to SAHS and CHS. All students who signed up for summer school will receive a letter from SAHS and CHS next week with the details regarding summer school

What is ASB? ASB stands for Associated Student Body. We plan activities and events (lunch- time games, dances, candy-grams, etc.) that promote Spartan Spirit and Pride. School-wide events teach students scholar and character traits via fun and meaningful activities.

Secretary Kenia You should vote for me because I want to see people achieve their goals. I want to improve ASB activities. I am organized and have a positive attitude.

Vice President Kevin Ascencio Hi my name is Kevin Ascencio. I am here to talk about why you should vote for me for vice president. One reason is because I want to become a role model for the new sixth graders. The second reason why is because I will try to make the school a better place. The third reason is because I will be at all the meetings. The fourth reason is because I want to make a difference in my life. I will never give up and I will fight for what is right. The last reason is because I will help the school be fun.

Vice President Betty Guevara You should vote for me because I would have more activities next year. I would help ASB come up with good ideas for the dance. I am a good candidate because I will make next school year fun.

President Sharon Gomez You should vote for me for president because I am active and want people to achieve their goals. The other reason you should vote for me is because I am positive and I make good decisions. I want this school to be active and fun!
