Pie-In-The-Face Good Job! We were not able to reach our $300 goal to donate to American Cancer Society, so we did not get to pie a teacher in the face, but we did raise: $183.93 Good Job!

Meeting Location CHANGE for OCTOBER AFTERNOONS ONLY Afternoon meeting on October 19th TODAY will be in the Commons. The morning meetings will still be in the Auditorium. All meetings will be back to the auditorium in November.

HOSA vs. Key Club When? October 5th-November 2nd What? Battle with HOSA to see who can raise the most UNICEF and LLS funds Prize? The winner will get a Pizza Party for participating members How can you participate??

1) Pumpkin Smash for UNICEF When? November 10th, from 3:15-4:00 Where? Green Foyer area outside of the chemistry hall How? Purchase a $2 pumpkin from us and smash it with provided baseball bats Credit? 1 physical hour, 1 social credit

2) Collection Box/Trick Or Treat for UNICEF Take a box for 1 cause or both! Each box filled counts as 1 Donation Hour (with a max of 5). Can be checked out/brought back at meetings or in Ms. Garcia’s room after school. If not filled, MUST bring $5. DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 2ND

UNICEF is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of children across the globe who suffer from malnutrition, lack of clean water, insufficient medical care, and overall don’t have the necessities to live. Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF is a fun and easy way to help provide those needs for children across the world. Look at all you can do! $1 – Clean water for a child for 40 days! $5 – Give food to a malnourished child for 5 days! $10 – Vaccinate 280 children! $100 – Protect 100 kids from malaria! $500 – Provide a water pump to an entire village!

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society helps to raise money for research to fight blood cancer. Here Are Some Stats: Approximately every 3 minutes one person in the United States (US) is diagnosed with a blood cancer. New cases of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma are expected to account for 10.2 percent of the estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases diagnosed in the US in 2016.

Canned Food Drive For Who? Cy-Fair Helping Hands Who??? An organization that helps the homeless When? ENTIRE MONTH of OCTOBER Donations need to be brought to Ms. Dossett’s Room (3rd English Hall) before or after school.  5 cans is 1 donation hour (max 5 hours).  Make sure to sign in to get credit!

Lock-In When: Nov. 11-12 from 9pm-6am (Fri-Sat) Where: Cy-Ranch Commons How Much: $20 ($15 if your parent chaperones- limited to the first 10 parents) Hours: 5 PHYSICAL, 2 Possible Donation (if bring breakfast goods), 1 Social Deadline: Turn in form and bring $ to purchase ticket in room 3006 by Nov. 2nd meeting (or Friday, Nov. 4th) Join us for a night of scavenger hunt style service, games and pizza dinner! 

Teacher Appreciation Cards For Who? Teachers What? Thank You Notes (and candy bags) Include a nice note, picture and sign as “Cy-Ranch Key Clubber” (MUST BE COLORED)

You joined Key Club… now what? You need… 1. 15 service hours (10 of which much be physical) 2. 2 social credits 3. Have missed 2 or less meetings throughout the semester ( 1st and 3rd Wed. either 6:35 or 2:40) Your hours/social credits start over every semester! *If you didn’t meet these requirements, you are considered an inactive member and the semester will not count for you.

REMEMBER! The only way to earn your credit for Key Club volunteer hours and social credits is to volunteer at/attend events offered by our Key Club!

How do I get my hours? Make an account on the website! Under “Find A Sign Up” Search: mary.vanmiddendorp@cfisd.net Use this website throughout the year in order to sign up for volunteer opportunities! Also, constantly be checking your email, FB page, our website and Remind101 for alerts on new events!

BRING YOUR SERVICE CARDS! If you do not have your service card with you at the meeting YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE! The little dates on the back are to be stamped by our officers  If you need your service card signed for an event or social you volunteered at/attended, fill out the date, event name, number of hours, etc. and THEN the president, vps, or supervisors will sign it for you!
