Safety Roles & Responsibilities 5-14-2010 All Team Members All Team Leaders Know and follow all safety rules and safe operating practices (SOPs)s, including evacuation, take shelter, wait for the wave, 2 foot rule and orange crush zones. Take 2 before engaging in any non standard task. Identifies and immediately communicates unsafe acts and conditions, near misses and participates in preparing near miss reports (identifies root cause to prevent from reoccurring). Keep designated areas clean and organized (maintain workplace organization and 5S). Wears required protective clothing. Uses PPE, tools, equipment and ergo assists properly. Participates in safety walks and safety checks. Assists others in following safe work practices. Performs 5S tasks and maintains workplace organization. Maintenance Team Members In addition to All Team Members R&Rs: Performs pre-task planning. Sets example by knowing and following all safety rules and safe operating practices (SOPs). Take 2 before engaging in any non standard task. Identifies and immediately communicates unsafe acts and conditions, near misses and takes lead in preparing near miss reports (identifies root cause to prevent from reoccurring).
