Mrs. Kerr’s Friday Notes October 21st, 2011 What We Did This Week… Reading “Seasons” Topic/Main Idea/Details Writing Spooktacular Stories Theme Insects Math Addition Strategies Doubles, doubles plus one, doubles minus one Dates to Remember: October 27th- Family Reading Night October 28th – Halloween Party November 8th – Election Day / No School November 17th – Primary Musical November 24th-26th – Thanksgiving Break Dec. 1st- World Fest 2011 Fall Party Fall party will be next Friday @1:30. Thank you to those who have responded to our email in regards to things we will need. Students may dress up in their costumes for a Halloween parade during morning meeting. Students must be dressed before coming to school. NO weapons, swords, face paint, or scary mask. PRIMARTY MUSICAL Primary Musical will be Nov. 17. Your child will need to wear jeans and a bright colored shirt or Hawaiian shirt and /or skirt if they have one. CLASS NEEDS WE need empty toilet paper rolls. Keep saving those we will need lots of those in a few weeks. It was great to meet with so many parents this week. I feel fortunate to work with such a great group of kids and families! Thank you! FAMILY READING NIGHT Join us next Thursday evening for family reading night. Illustrator John Steven Gurney will be present that night along with other fun activities.
