Access to ÕIS (Study Information System) Step 1 Turn to Study Consultant to ask if you already have a student code in ÕIS. Step 2 If you have student code available then to access system, there are 4 options: UNI-ID- highly recommended  (room SOC-129) ÕIS username and password (room SOC-132) ID card (Estonian ID code needed) Mobile ID (Estonian ID code needed) Access to personalized TTÜ e-mail address, TTÜ intranet, HITSA Moodle, etc.

Registering for a course in ÕIS at the beginning of each semester all students must submit a study plan if the study plan is not submitted student will be dismissed the study plan is submitted via study information system (ois2.ttu.ee) study plan (declaration) must be submitted latest on the indicated dedline in Academic Calendar

In some cases, a lecturer has a right to cancel the declartion made by student. In the Academic Calendar, 19th of September is a deadline for cancellation of students’ declarations by the lecturer.

Registering for a course in ÕIS What do to if declaration deadline has passed and you have forgotten to submit one? Turn to Dean´s office immediately and they will help you with the declaration. In addition, please: make sure that you take required amount of ECTS make sure that subject code and professor´s name is correct Should you have any questions, please turn to your Dean´s office to ask for a help. Pass the declaration deadline, you can deleted registered courses only by the turning to your Study Consultants. Courses can be deleted until the end of September. Pass the declaration deadline, courses can be added with the help of Study Consultant only upon the written approval of the designated subject´s professor.

Study Contracts!!! Students enrolled to full tuition fee waiver scholarship and tuition fee place are obliged to sign a contract at the beginning of the Autumn semester. Kindly turn to your designated Study Consultant.

Examination sessions 2 terms in 1 academic year- Autumn and Spring 1 term consists 16 weeks of classroom and practical study Examination session in the end of semester Autumn semester examination sessioon (2nd- 20th of January 2018) Autumn semester additional examination session (22nd of January- 27th of January 2018)

Study load Students with full tuition fee waiver scholarship places Must take at least 30 ECTS mandatory courses per semester to maintain free of charge place During the nominal study period (bachelor´s 3 years and master´s 2 years) 6 ECTS of mandatory courses can be failed. The failed 6 ECTS (mandatory courses) must be passed at the end of the nominal study period. PS! It is mandatory for bachelor´s and master´s students to collect at least 15 ECTS on the First semester. Full tuition fee places Nominal study load is 30 ECTS per semester To maintain full study load 22,5-30 ECTS per semester is required Partial study load is 15-22 ECTS per semester Non-European Union students must maintain full study load place in order to keep temporary residence permit for studies (TRP). PS! It is mandatory for bachelor´s and master´s students to collect at least 15 ECTS on the First semester.

Registration for exams declaration of a subject is valid only 1 semester if a student has not passed the subject within 1 semester time a new declaration in ÕIS must be submitted second time declaration in ÕIS is only for the fee- an invoice will be issued via ÕIS fee depends on the credit point price prices vary depending on the School

Registration for exams at least 2 exam times within the exam session exam times are published at least 4 weeks before the start of the exam weeks before the first exam there has to be at least one consultation the time and place of which is published with exam times Registration for an exam through ÕIS (mainly) at the instructor or department/faculty (on paper)

Assessment of academic performance Assessment may be either graded or non-graded. E stands for examination (graded assessment) A stands for non-graded (Fail/Pass)

Assessment of student performance Graded assessment “5”- excellent “4”- very good “3”- good “2”- satisfactory “1”- poor “0”- failed Non-graded assessment A- pass M- fail „absent“- has not participated on the exam

Additional information for non-EU students regarding bank services Opening a bank account without the availability of temporary residence permit for studies (TRP) is expensive (up to 250 EUR). Swedbank has agreed to facilitate TTÜ students from Non-EU countries under favoured conditions. In order be applicable for favoured condition, kindly ask your Study Consultant a certificate for Swedbank to proove your student status in TTÜ. Upon submitting the certificate to Swedbank, bank account will be opened under favoured condition.
