Hieroglyphs Egyptian writing system Pictures and symbols represented sounds and words. Hieroglyphs have more than 700 symbols

Hieroglyphic Alphabet

Your Assignment Create your own, original painting inspired by Egyptian art Use the hieroglyphic alphabet letters of your name as the main imagery Use colors that represent you from your personality chart Use other Egyptian techniques such as patterns, symbols, registers, proportion, storytelling, borders

Project Requirements All letters of your first name must be present. You can vary the size. Think of how the Egyptians chose to represent the most important images/people by making them larger. Do not arrange the hieroglyphs from left to right like a typical name. Be creative with your composition. Narrow down your color scheme to 3 main colors (this includes tints shades, and dull variations of each color). Consider the colors on your personality chart. You can also use black and white. Majority of your colors must be mixed by you. Cover the entire canvas. Areas that remain white must be painted white.
