Creative Discussion game «From Idea to Money» Methodology Solution of the problem with the creative discussion game. The game is a creative thinking process – combination of several creative thinking techniques – idea generation, assessment, focus group discussion, parallel thinking. The game process – a tailored approach for solving the problem.

Methodology Rules of the game The problem to be solved, or focus Participants of the game - focus discussion group – entrepreneurs/producers, designers, researchers, customers, financiers, marketing specialists, engineers, etc. Moderator of the game – driver of the creative thinking process Limited time schedule Methodological support (description of the game, support materials) Expectedconventional solutions of the problem – new, evaluated ideas for promotion cooperation between producers and result: undesigners

Methodology Structured discussion and assessment of the idea using parallel thinking. Assessment of the idea from different point of views: Designer Producer Researcher Customer PR, advertisement, marketing Coordinators, managers IT specialists, engineers

Assessment of an idea with parallel thinking Viewpoint of participants Assessment structure Available information on the idea, its implementation Positive aspects: strengths, opportunities, expected positive results Negative aspects: critics, threats, expected negative results Development opportunities, creative solutions, new applications Designer Manufacturing Marketing, PR Researcher IT Customer

Assessment of the idea Idea for assessment: Assessing the idea from different view points All thinking about ( information, positive and negative aspects for implementation, creative solutions) 10 minutes to think Presentation of each opinion (one by one) Parallel thinking – all other participants «switch on» the same role

Idea assessment result Information on the idea: «What do we know about it» Positive aspects: «We like it because…» Negative aspects: «We don’t like it because…» Creative solutions: «We would do it this way…» Summary of all information, positive, negative and creative aspcts.

Steps of the game 1.The leader formulates the idea 2.Players chose the roles 3.Players discuss the idea consecutively from each viewpoint (5 minutes each) The structure of each view point: «What do I know about it» «I like it because…» «I don’t like it because…» «I would do it this way…» Players make notes on «I would do it this way»

Steps of the game 4. All participants one by one express their opinions, listen to others and add new ideas 5. the leader of the game reads the ideas «I would do it this way» for all players 6. The leader of the game presents the summary of the results. Participants give their comments. 7. The leader – initiator if the idea expresses his gratitude to the players.
