BEST PROJECT OF THE INSTITUTE 2016-2017 “ROBOTIC HAND CONTROL USING HAPTIC TECHNOLOGY” Introduction Haptics is a science of applying touch sensation and control for interaction with virtual or physical application. Robotic hand is device which functions like human hand to perform various tasks safely and accurately. Aims and Objectives 1. Reducing Physical efforts of Human 2. Reducing Cost and increasing Accuracy of haptic technology 3. Improve the system in daily life 4. Efficient control of Robotic Arm Theme Simulation Model The design methodology uses simple potentiometers to control the robotic arm. LDR and Joystick etc. is used to control the arm. But all of them have certain limitation for precise movement of the arm. The model consists of Controller Atmega 328P, the drive system consists of DC Motors and Servo motors. The maximum load capacity of the system is 0.5 Kg. Model Normal Controller Atmega328P Max Load capacity 0.5kg Drive System DC Motors Servo Motors Mounting Type Robotic cart Material Plywood It consists of Human Machine interface. The signals from the brain are captured by the hand and as per the motion of the hand the robotic arm moves in a direction. Arm can be connected to computer to log the motion of the arm as well as control the Computer application.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Simulation Ftotal=∑Fcomponent=Fnormal+Ffriction+Fadditi+.... Acquire Haptic data Process the data Add Haptic effects The program is executed in proteus software. It is complied, debug and the results are obtained. Assign Stiffness, Assign friction, Start Haptic The performance analysis shows that for every parameter the hand is giving good result as Compared to other Conclusions Robotic Hand is highly sensitive towards the motion on haptic sensors and try to copy for making system robust Control is precise and done by potentio--meters which reduces the cost of system Applications Useful in industry to handle harmful equipment by workers Mining Industry Houses for paralysis persons to identify the objects and handle them Future Scope Research is going on to use brain signals to control the robotic arm The technology can be used in space to track the planets and stars Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Prof. Sanjay Khonde Guide Aniket Mandhare Shekhar Mhaske Shreyas Mundhada
