Increasing attendance at Further Education (FE) colleges Attendance rates at FE College over the first 9 weeks Effect of Study Supporter on attendance These results are for the 2015/6 academic year (2016/7 trial still in progress) Attendance is based on week-by-week attendance figures collected over the first 15 weeks Works especially for GCSE students in comparison to Functional Skills (also attendance is much higher on average for GCSE) Also works especially in maths in comparison to English courses (averaged across GCSE and FS)

Scaling up FE college trials Initial trials in 9 FE colleges in 2015/16 4 FE colleges in 2016/7 Expanding to FE and 6th form colleges for 2017/8 Trial of modifications to programme in 30 FE colleges 2017/8 Potential to include a payment-by-results model for 2018/9 Intention to expand more widely for 2018/19 conditional on results
