Created the Kellogg-Briand Pact which renounced the war as a national policy 3. Won the Election of 1928 4. Believed in “rugged individualism”- the idea that people should succeed through their own efforts 5. Ran against James M. Cox 6. Signed the Dawes Plan which loaned2.5 billion to Germany to pay back France and Britain 7. Died in office 8. Limited immigration with the Emergency Quota Act 9 The Stock Market Crashed when he was in office 10. Had a “pump –priming” ideology 11. Had a corrupt group of friends known as the Ohio Gang 12. Domestic policy included the limit of the role of the government 13. Major scandal involving Albert Fall leasing govt. land to private oil companies (Teapot Dome) 14.
