Every child will have a chance to be “Student of the Week” Every child will have a chance to be “Student of the Week”. This is a chance to bring in items to show the class, complete a special poster to share and then we will have a little “interview” session.

Weekly Class Work Envelop Once a week I send home all paper work that we are finished with. I ask that you review it and return the folder signed. If you have any questions just let me know. I treat this as a homework assignment for the students so if it is late, it is treated as a late homework assignment.

Assignment Sheet/Folder The Assignment Sheet is to be signed every night. It is a colored sheet for the week, that all 3-5th grade classes will be using this year. It is kept in a special Homework Folder. We will take time to fill it out together at the end of each day. I give homework daily but usually no homework on the week-ends or over vacations. I do expect kids to take home AR books and read and review math facts when no homework is given.

FYI Neetz News – A note from me goes home weekly along with the students’ corrected work. The work can stay home but the envelope needs to be signed and returned the next day for a sticker. I also send it email or Classroom Dojo. Spelling Test – Usually on Friday, this year our spelling in part of our SRA Imagine It reading program. Reports/Projects – Two weeks from the day it is given. Usually one a marking period, sometimes two. Paragraph of the Week – A note explaining this will go home. Student Numbers – Kids are assigned a number (I start from the end of the alphabet for #1). We have fun with the numbers.

Fill up the card and turn it in for a REWARD Sticker Card *You earn stickers by getting a 90% or better on an assignment, doing a good deed, being prepared, winning a game, etc… Fill up the card and turn it in for a REWARD Stickers can also be taken back for not having work done on time, not being prepared, talking out of turn, etc… the job of “Marshal” helps to monitor this.
