How to install GoToTraining software and join a demo www.appraisal.nes.scot.nhs.uk

Overview To participate in any demo, you must download the GoToTraining Opener and the GoToTraining software. You will need your computer to view the demo and your telephone for conference calls (audio).

Before you install – register for your demo Click on this link on the demo information page on the Medical Appraisal Scotland website. Fill in your details in the form that is presented to you then click the ‘Register’ button. You will be sent a confirmation email.

How to begin installation You can install the software when you join your first demo. Please be aware that if you try to install the GoToTraining software at work you may need the help of the IT department for security purposes. Click on this link on the demo information page.

Installation of the Opener Software Click to open the downloaded software. Please be aware that different browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox etc.) will show downloads in different places.

Downloading the main software Once the Opener Software has downloaded, wait for it to download the main GoToTraining software. Once this has finished, the GoToTraining icon should appear on your desktop next to your other applications.

Audio Settings After GoToTraining has downloaded, you will go onto the screen for your demo. Select audio options and you’re ready to start learning. Confirm that the demo details are correct and click ‘OK’. Click the circle that represents the audio option you want to use (most demos use the telephone).

Joining a Demo Post-Installation After you have the GoToTraining software installed, you can use it to get quickly access a demo. The pass code is found on the demo information page. Open the GoToTraining Software, enter the code and click ‘Join’.

Summary The GoToTraining software is available for Windows and Mac and also has apps for Android and iOS.
