Scoping Positive Behavioural Support in Scotland Implementation Framework 2015-17 Scoping Positive Behavioural Support in Scotland

Keys to Life (2013) Joint NHS & LA discharge protocols which include local & national planning for those for whom no alternative community placements exist (Recommendation 50) Scotland builds capacity to deliver specialist services locally, with an outcome that people with learning disabilities and complex needs should be supported to live nearer their family (Recommendation 51)

KtL Implementation Framework (2015-17) 4 strategic outcomes Outcome 3: People with learning disabilities are able to live independently in the community with equal access to all aspects of society Explore alternative models to out-of-area placements for people with complex needs

Complex Needs Project Support solutions for people with LD & complex needs (autism, challenging behaviour) Out-of-area (or out-of-country) Delayed discharge Young people in transition (future demand) Building capacity to deliver specialist community-based services locally
