WHAT IS AN HRA? Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Funded by Ohio State Reimburses you for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses You can earn HRA credits through the Your Plan for Health (YP4H) Incentive Plan Participating in an HRA is a great way to stretch your budget. You can use the credits to pay for eligible health care costs, such as deductibles, coinsurance and copayments. These are costs you pay under your medical, prescription drug, dental and vision plans for yourself and your enrolled dependents. Faculty and staff enrolled in an Ohio State medical plan and their enrolled spouse or same-sex domestic partner are eligible to earn HRA credits by completing the levels in the Your Plan for Health (YP4H) Incentive Program. HRA credits are earned with the completion of each YP4H Incentive Level. Earned credits will automatically be added to your HRA. Total Administrative Services Corporation https://eprofile.osu.edu

REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS Three ways to be reimbursed: Health Care Debit Card Online Claim Entry Paper Claim Form If you also participate in a health care FSA, those funds must be exhausted prior to using HRA credits. Once you have eligible health care expenses to be reimbursed from your HRA, there are three ways for you to do this: If you are paying for an eligible health care expense at the point of service, you can use your Health Care Debit Card, which will take the funds directly from your account. Be sure to keep your receipt in case you are asked to provide documentation of the eligible expense. You can enter an eligible health care expense in the online system and upload the documentation to verify the amount to be reimbursed. You can download a paper Reimbursement Claim Form from the web site and submit it with the appropriate documentation to verify the reimbursement request by fax or mail. If you also have a health care flexible spending account through Ohio State, you will first need to use all of the funds in your FSA before accessing any HRA funds to be reimbursed. FSA funds should be used first because the IRS has a “use it or lose it requirement” for the funds that you contribute to an FSA. Any unused HRA funds will roll over after the end of the plan year, as long as you continue to be enrolled in an Ohio State medical plan. A chart comparing an HRA and FSA is online at go.osu.edu/hra. HEALTH CARE DEBIT CARD Your plan includes the Health Care Debit Card, which will be mailed to your home address after your first HRA credit is earned. It will arrive in a plain white envelope with a TASC return address. Use the Health Care Debit Card to pay for eligible expenses at the point of purchase. The card pays for eligible expenses directly from your HRA account, eliminating the need to submit a request for reimbursement. Keep a copy of your receipt in case you are asked to document the eligible expense. Total Administrative Services Corporation https://eprofile.osu.edu
