SYSA Outdoor Flag Football Coaches Meeting Thursday, August 24th SYSA Bingo Hall, 6:00pm

SYSA Mission “To provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.”

SYSA Flag Football Most games will be played at Andrew Rypien Field (3501 N. Regal) Some 5th/6th grade games will be played at Dwight Merkel. No alcohol OR tobacco use at any field. Teams organized by age and school.

Practices Practices may begin August 25 Practice 1-2 times per week Use local park or school Please provide several opportunities for water breaks

Games Most games will be played at Andrew Rypien Field (3501 N. Regal) Games start September 9th 7 Game Season

Candy Bowl Season will conclude with Candy Bowl on October 28-30th. This is optional. $130 ADDITIONAL team fee. 2 Game Guarantee Games are two 15 minute halves, running clock. Champions get t-shirts Teams are encouraged to incorporate their regular SYSA jerseys into team- themed costumes.

Playing Rules Every player must play half the game A player may play a MAXIMUM of 2 quarters per game at quarterback OR running back Each player shall play equally on offense and defense each game No extra points after touchdowns No kickoffs. Ball placed at 30 yard line No hurdling, no stiff arms, no flag guarding No overtime
