Your child’s teacher will add a name label to their Home Journal. Spellings – spelling test on Friday Maths A homework sheet will be sent home linked to our current maths work in class. Homework is taken in on Thursdays and given out again on Fridays. Reading books will be changed at least once a week. This gives you an opportunity to really discuss your child’s book in greater detail, checking for understanding.

SATs What will it involve? The children will take 5 tests: 2 reading papers, GaPS, Maths – reasoning and arithmetic. How is it carried out? In smaller groups if needed to help children to do the best they can! When will it take place? May How can I help my child prepare for this? There will be meetings later in the year about how to best prepare for SATS. But please tell children now to worry! They will be fine.

Any questions?
