PE & Sport Premium Update Investment will double from September 2017 Schools will receive £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil. On average, each London primary school will receive £18,500 per annum Funding is for schools to deliver further improvements to their PE & Sport provision. Sport & Physical Activity for Schools Spending the PE and Sport Premium effectively London Sport suggest grouping your plan and spending of the PE and sport premium into 5 themes; 1) Healthy active lifestyles 2) using PE as a tool for whole school improvement 3) professional learning and PE team 4) a broad offer to all pupils 5) Competition for all HOW WE CAN HELP: Sports Coaching Coaches to assist PE delivery (improve teachers confidence in delivering in the future) Broad offer of extra curricular activities to all pupils - Exit routes to community clubs -Activities to appeal to those children that are less likely to participate - Coaching for competitions coming up Lunchtime multi sports Physical Activity Daily physical activity (Regular Running) Where are the gaps in your provision? How can we help you improve the sport and physical activity offer in your school?

3. School Sport Suppliers Hub Created at the request of teachers who asked us to make it easier for schools to find providers who can meet their needs. The Hub will be launched on 25th September 2017 The Hub is an online directory with: Search functions Filters Customer ratings It is simple to use and all providers will have met a basic minimum standard London Sport will not be endorsing or recommending any supplier but empower schools to make an informed choice of who is right for them www.londonsport.org - Portal is going live on 25th September 2017 3. Minimum standards for suppliers The supplier should be able to: • Demonstrate their impact on PE and school sport in schools • Provide references from schools and Local Authorities that have engaged with them • Demonstrate relevant year/age group experiences • Provide evidence of whole staff training/support • Provide a PE and school sport vision & their experiences • Show an awareness of Ofsted criteria and national frameworks such as the Physical Literacy framework Source: Employment and Deployment of Coaches framework (2011)
