Make Your Own Models I have made models like the vase using Sketchup software --free for teachers and students. I will demonstrate how easy it is to create a simple house. It will take me no longer then a few minutes. I have demonstrated this to Middle School students and they have created cities from scratch. Models can be exported from your computer as .OBJ files and then put into Meshlab or Meshmixer software and cleaned up and then exported to .STL files for printing.

Sketchup & Meshmixer Quick demo I made to get you going using Sketchup software: http://svp.ket.org/view?v=rJ60rCyKcOcR3W0J Meshmixer is a program I have just started using to fill holes, but I found that I can sculpt shapes with it also. Here are some Youtube links I have found helpful.

We'll learn the ins-and-outs of desktop 3D-printing, and we'll learn how to sketch by hand so we can generate solid ideas. With this class and enough practice, you'll be a pro in no time. http://www.instructables.com/class/Advanced-3D-Printing-Class/?

Finally sometimes teachers will ask for something specific like this to help them explain a part from a book. Guess what book and what part this is from the photo on the left? The picture above is a small bust of Athena with a Raven sitting on her head. The picture above is scan of the teacher.
