Using CICO Maps to Strengthen the MFHCC

CICO Maps A simple, easy-to-use, online tool of CO data Complements current planning with people-centric information Catalyzes conversations, then action, for Whole Community Inclusion Begin to compile a registry of statewide resources and community partners

PHEP & HPP Grant Requirement: CICO Maps Healthcare coalitions use CICO Maps to inform their preparation for the needs of at-risk individuals and the general population in their communities in the event of a public health emergency.

After Action Report & Improvement Plan Identified Gaps: PHEP/HPP Capability 6: Information Sharing Limited situational awareness regarding at-risk populations Limited information shared between HCC agencies and the DPH DOC PHEP Capability 4: Emergency Information Sharing & Warning Unable to distribute information to at-risk populations Timeliness Appropriate method of communication Based on January 21 Functional Exercise

MFHCC Work Group Action: Locate high-density areas of at-risk populations

Gap 1: Information Sharing Which MFHCC agencies can provide needed information to establish and maintain situational awareness related to at-risk populations? Collect information for MFHCC Agencies: Identify MFHCC agencies located in high-density at-risk population areas Identify MFHCC agencies who work specifically with these at-risk populations

Gap 2: Emergency Information Sharing & Warning How will the MFHCC share information with the at-risk populations they serve? Share information with At-Risk Population: Identify MFHCC agencies to create targeted messages for at-risk populations Identify MFHCC agencies to push out targeted messages – both within the geographic area and with relationships

Goals: Use the information to create a guide for: Collecting information from at-risk populations Sharing information with MFHCC partners, DOC, EOC, JIC Pushing out information to at-risk populations

Steps to Accomplish Our Goal: Locate high-density areas of at-risk populations Identify MFHCC agencies located in high-density at-risk areas Identify MFHCC agencies who work specifically with these at-risk populations Identify MFHCC agencies to create targeted messages for at-risk populations Identify MFHCC agencies to push out targeted messages Create an at-risk population specific information sharing guide
