T1.3 Pilot Sites Survey and Audit, Peter Rosengren, Ulf Wingstedt CNet Svenska AB

Overview M2-M12 Partners: CNet (4), CERTH-ITI (2), TECNALIA (2), PPC (4) Deliverables: Contributes to D1.1.

2 Pilot sites CERTH 3 sub pilots Technalia Microgrid Lab

What’s Done Testing and evaluation of sensor platforms enOcean: Energy harvesting (no batteries), primarily for presence detection Netvox: Wide range of ZigBee sensors (proprietary) PlugWise: Smart Plugs + some sensors Enistic: Power usage and actuation. Plugs, Multi-plugs, Clamps (normally non-obtrusive) ZWave device evaluation. WIFI-based plugs Current Cost (Zigbee) Office pre-pilot started Shutting down screens when alarm turned on Software “Test bed”, eat your own medicine. Creating action plan.

What’s Done (Cont..) Meeting at CERTH during February Surveyed the premises and possible pilot locations BMS connection through OPC (BacNet) VRVs and HVAC accessible through BMS Preliminary locations decided ITI Building Conference Room Cafeteria/Smart House Installed first measuring equipment and gateway. Uploading data to cloud server List of needed sensors/actuators

Examples

Device Consumption Example

CERTH Pilot devices/sensors PlugWise for basic appliance measurements Single/3-phase meters Actuators for control of interior lightning CO2-sensors Thermometers RFID Readers Motion Detectors/Acoustic Sunlight Sensors OPC Server For Building Information System integration (Siemens Desigo) Streaming interface Depth-image cameras for occupancy detection.

MicroGrid TECNALIA Pilot Dependent on CERTH pilots? Survey of existing equipment/control systems What can be interfaced? What sensors/actuators do we need to add. Deployment/Installation plan Budget? Who will install?

Contribution to D1.1 Description of pilots Expected results of pilot Existing energy infrastructure Devices, sensors, equipment, Locations, Energy production Interfaces with existing systems BMS Organisational characteristics Use cases/Activities Use of Inertia components Expected results of pilot Success indicators, KPI Measurements, questionnaires, interviews

Action Plan End April Meeting at MicroGrid TECNALIA Surveying the premises Install test measuring equipment and gateway? OUTCOME: Decide on sensor platforms and the number of sensors to be procured for the TECNALIA pilot. Survey of interfaces to existing systems.

Action Plan End May End June (July/August) End September MicroGrid TECNALIA pilot site defined Existing systems (defined/known) Additional sensors/actuators defined. Agreed with Indesit on Dishwasher interface. End June Initial D1.1 contribution done (July/August) Vacations. End September Final deployment plan finished. Final deliverable D1.1 contribution done.

This meeting! Agree on the continued time and action plan Approval by the WP1 leader. Agree on TOC and date for contribution to D1.1. TECNALIA pilot site Interfaces to existing systems Any additional sensors/actuators.
