Federal Aid Eligibility Requirements FAFSA 2014-2015 www.fafsa.ed.gov Filing deadline is June 30th Meet the Federal Student Aid Eligibility guidelines http://studentaid.ed.gov Enrollment Requirement Must be at least ½ time during the summer semester -@Fordham Law, 3 credits is ½ time May be externship or academic credits

Fordham Summer Programs GHANA – May 19th- July 5th Basic Program Information: Students can register for up to 3 academic credits (3 credits per course) and for an optional Internship. The Internship program begins at the end of the academic program and can be taken for credit or non-credit. Program cost and daily allowances are determined by Program Director and can vary depending on program option. Cost per credit: $1,200 Cost of Internship: 2 credits ($2,600) or Non-Credit ($500) Fees: $100 application fee Academic Housing Single Room ($910) or Double Room ($660) Internship and Academic Housing: Single Room ($2,050) or Double Room ($1,500) Board: $20/day Travel: $2,240-$3,090 Miscellaneous: $15/day Health Cost: $18/day

Summer Programs Continued… KOREA – June 2oth – August 8th Basic Program Information: Students can register for 3 academic credits and for an optional Internship. Program cost and daily allowances are determined by Program Director and can vary depending on program option. 4 Credit Program Cost:$4,800 4 Credit + Extension: $6,900 Externship Cost: 3 credits ($2,600), Non-credit ($500) Housing Cost: From $1,800- $4,100 Board: $21/day Travel: $1,300 Miscellaneous: $13/day

Transferring from Eve to Day Program Must complete a transfer application with the Law School Registrar Transfer Residency Fee $12,970 -Difference between day and evening 2014-2015 academic year tuition Fordham Summer tuition cost is discounted from the Transfer Residency fee The residency fee cost is higher than Fordham Law School’s summer per-credit rate for 6 credits.

Eve to Day Transfer Continued… Fordham Need-Based Aid Eligibility criteria: Student received need-based aid during 2014-2015 semesters. The student must be paying Fordham’s transfer residency fee. Award Amounts are determined using your current evening award amount

Taking Courses @ Fordham Estimated Summer tuition Rate $1790 per credit Externship fee is $1,250 (subject to change) Must be enrolled for at least 3 credits for Federal Loans Summer Living allowance is estimated @ $5,800 Includes cost of Books, Room & Board, Travel, & Miscellaneous

Visiting @ Another law School Fordham’s Exchange Programs Must be approved to study by the Law School Registrar Tuition is paid to Fordham Law School Exchange School must confirm enrollment before disbursement of funds. Federal Student Aid eligibility must be met Non-Exchange Programs:  Must be approved to study at another institution by the law School Registrar Tuition is paid to Host School Financial Aid Office will initiate a Consortium Agreement between Fordham Law School and the host institution. The host school will provide us with the Cost of Attendance

Financing Options Can borrow up to COA minus any other aid received If annual amount ($20,500) has not been maxed Can borrow Federal Direct Loan – 6.21% Direct Grad PLUS Loan – 7.21% https://StudentLoans.gov Secure a Direct Grad PLUS credit decision Complete a Direct Grad PLUS MPN Complete an Entrance Interview/Counseling Session Complete and return a Grad PLUS Loan request form to the Law School Financial Aid Office Private Education Loan – Contact lender directly Private Loan terms can vary Variable interest rate Most be credit worthy Not eligible for public service loan forgiveness Loan amount must be school certified

Forms and Requirements Complete and Return the Summer Intent Form (available after spring break) More Information is available on the Law School Financial Aid Website under “Applying for Aid” Consider completing the Direct Deposit Agreement Form Complete the requirements for the Direct Grad PLUS or the Direct Loan Complete the Grad PLUS Loan Request Form The Financial Aid Office will email you your specific COA
