FRAUD & ABUSE PRACTICE GROUP STRATEGIC PLAN 2015-2016

Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Mission & Vision PG Mission: The Fraud and Abuse Practice Group provides its members with ongoing informational resources and education regarding issues in the area of health care fraud and abuse. The Practice Group focuses these efforts in the complementary areas of enforcement and compliance. 2015-16 PG Vision: Greater Membership Involvement in Agenda and Activities Continued Transparency of Leadership Direction and Diversity of Leadership Team Collaboration with other PGs to enhance programming offerings Achievement of 90%+ of Strategic Goals 10/1/15 Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Strategic Plan

Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Membership Initiatives Objectives: Increase membership and continue to reach out to members to provide specific input on programs and activities Strategy: Membership Drive Follow up with members who drop off. Improve “new member welcome letter” process. Conduct annual membership survey Provide opportunities to meet PG leaders at in-person meetings. Membership Calls—quarterly beginning in 2016, to include: Substantive topic of relevance as free benefit to PG members. Update from PG Leadership Team—to keep interested members informed of initiatives and upcoming activities. Update recruitment flyers (Bill of Sale) and distribute at annual Meeting and Fraud & Abuse conference Coordinate getting new volunteers lined up with other Vice Chair needs Monitor, update and post revisions to 50-State Survey 10/1/15 Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Strategic Plan

Fraud and Abuse Practice Group Publications Initiatives Objective: Provide top quality publications to our membership Strategy: Coordinate the preparation and publication of Member briefings and executive summaries on key topics of interest Prepare and publish 3 F&A PG newsletters during the year Collaborate with other PGs on publications/products Oversee and monitor quality of Enforcement Committee, Compliance Committee and Advisory Opinion Task Force email alerts on regulatory developments and other hot topics Solicit authors for F&A PG contributions to AHLA Connections 10/1/15 Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Strategic Plan

Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Research & Website Initiatives Objectives: Continue to monitor and enhance F&A PG website content and expand social media presence by providing more meaningful content and discussion via social medial outlets to PG members Strategy: Toolkits Review, revise and monitor the Stark Law Toolkit Oversee the deployment of the AKS Toolkit on the F&A PG website Coordinate the preparation and launch of Phase II of the Stark & AKS Toolkits Monitor the Compliance and Stark discussion lists and promote their use Monitor the F&A PG website and coordinate any necessary changes Work with Social Media Coordinator, AHLA staff, and other PGs to collaborate and increase AHLA and F&A PG’s social media presence 10/1/15 Fraud & Abuse Practice Group Strategic Plan
