Discovering God’s Will Wise Decision Making 101 Discovering God’s Will

To some degree: Decision + Decision + Decision Situation in Life

Who you are and where you are today is the result of the decisions you have made.

Some are living the dream! Most are not!

Great News! Your Heavenly Father is exactly that… a Heavenly Father

How do I know if it is God speaking to me?

…“He will make your paths straight.” He will make your path obvious.

Three principles we need to understand: The providential will of God. The moral will of God. The personal will of God.

The more familiar you become with the providential will of God, and the more obedient and surrendered you become to the moral will of God the easier it is going to be for you to determine and know the personal will of God.

The more familiar you become with the providential will of God, and the more obedient and surrendered you become to the moral will of God, the easier it is going to be for you to determine and know the personal will of God.

The real problem is not God’s unwillingness to communicate The real problem is not God’s unwillingness to communicate. That is not the problem. The real problem with most of us is our unwillingness to follow through.

God does not give us information for contemplation or consideration but for participation!

Are you ready to participate… …or are you just looking at options?

Trust in the Lord with __________

Trust in the Lord with all your heart…

The flip side is: “…do not lean on your own understanding.”

In ____ your ways…

Not JUST the area you are praying about. In all your ways… acknowledge Him…” Not JUST the area you are praying about.

“Acknowledge” means to be surrendered and focused.

“God, I’m not sure I want to do your will but I want to know what it is.” The God who knows you and loves you says, “I’m sorry, that’s not a game I play.”

Broken people have a very easy time discerning God’s will. It is surrender to the known will of God that paves the way to the unknown will of God. Broken people have a very easy time discerning God’s will.

Why the wait?

God is more interested in you discovering Him,

God is more interested in you discovering Him, than in you discovering His will.

He wants you to know His will even more than you want to know it! Great News! He wants you to know His will even more than you want to know it!
