UCF Technology Fee Guidelines “Proposals shall be for projects that employ information technology to enhance the development and delivery of instruction and promote student learning.”

Barriers to Building Learning Spaces Active learning spaces take more time to design. Furniture or facilities improvements must not exceed 50% of total project cost. Active learning spaces generally accommodate less students. We don’t have any authority over our general use classrooms.

No matter what role you have at the university, you have the agency to influence active learning on campus through these spaces. (They tend to be more interesting to design, build and use.)
