MULti academy trust consultation March 29th 2017

Strategic thinking The Governor role is to consider political direction and how this may impact on children, the school and the community. March 2016 Government declare that all schools will become an academy by 2022. The Governing Body had already anticipated this option and had been in discussion with the Local Authority for a period of time. Headteacher had been having informal discussions around options and impact for Peterborough schools. April 2016 the School Development Day focuses on the options available for John Clare Primary. Governmental change in positon. Options appraisal

The future…? The role of the LA is diminishing. 73% of Peterborough schools have already converted or in discussions. National Funding Formula – winners and losers.
