Ephesians 1:1-14 1:3 God has blessed me with EVERY spiritual blessing WHAT DOES IT SAY? 1:3 God has blessed me with EVERY spiritual blessing 1:4 God chose me to be holy & blameless 1:5 God has adopted me as a son 1:7 Through Christ I have been forgiven of my sins WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME? 1:3 God thinks the world of me & has given me everything I need 1:4 I must obey God and his commandments for my life 1:5 I belong to a family that gives me all the identity I will ever need 1:7 Christ is the only one who can forgive my sins

I Peter 1:1-5 Principle & application Being a pilgrim puts my money into perspective Being chosen by God makes me a very special person Being shown great mercy makes me live with humility, thankfulness, & compassion Having a living hope allows me be lived above the fear of death Having my inheritance in heaven puts my possessions in the right place Being kept by God’s powers allows me to live with confidence I am a pilgrim in this world (vs.1) I am chosen of God (vs.2) I have been shown great mercy (vs.3) I have been born again to a living hope (vs.3) I have an inheritance in heaven (vs.4) I am kept by the power of God through faith (vs.4)
