Who is Ahaz, King of Judah (700 BC)?

The stubbornness and hypocrisy of King Ahaz is making people, and God, “weary” (impatient) Isa. 7:13 Then he said, “Hear now, O house (family) of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?

Liberal theologians say “virgin” should read “maiden”, but other passages and the N.T. prove “virgin” is correct. Isa. 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, THE virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. It was 600 B.C. But God had Mary in view already Matt. 1:22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
