Presentation transcript:

THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IN THIS POWERPOINT, IT WILL TEACH YOU ABOUT THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, WHICH STARTS AT THE MOUTH AND ENDS IN A PILE OF WASTE. THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IS WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR FOOD IN YOUR BODY IT TAKES 3 DAYS TO GO FROM YOUR MOUTH TO BEING A PILE OF WASTE. WARNING: SOME PICTURES CAN BE GROSS!

MOUTH THE MOUTH IS THE FIRST PART OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM. THE MOUTH CRUSHES FOOD SO IT CAN GO DOWN THE OESOPHAGUS. THE MOUTH HAS A MINIMUM OF 28 ADULT TEETH WHICH ALL DO DIFFERENT THINGS. THE INCISORS BITE, THE CANINES RIP AND THE MOLARS CHEW AND CRUSH. THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF ADULT TEETH IS 32= 4 WISDOM TEETH AND 28 ADULT TEETH. WISDOM TEETH ARE SOMETHING THAT NOT EVERYBODY HAS. WISDOM TEETH ARE AN EXTRA SET OF MOLARS.

MOUTH PICTURES

THE OESOPHAGUS THE OESOPHAGUS IS A TUBE THAT YOUR CRUSHED FOOD GOES DOWN. THE OESOPHAGUS GOES FROM YOUR MOUTH TO YOUR STOMACH.

STOMACH THE STOMACH IS THE THIRD PART OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM. THE STOMACH CHURNS THE FOOD DOWN INTO A MULCH. THE STOMACH CONTAINS SOME CORROSIVE ACIDS. THEY HELP CHURN THE FOOD DOWN. WHEN YOU THROW UP THE ACIDS IN YOUR STOMACH COME UP WITH YOUR FOOD. YOU CAN SOMETIMES FEEL YOUR THROAT BURNING BECAUSE OF THE STOMACH ACIDS.

SMALL INTESTINE THE SMALL INTESTINE TAKES ALL THE GOODNESS OUT OF OUR FOOD USING VILLI. VILLI ARE A SMALL TENTACLE LOOKING THING THAT GRABS GOODNESS AND BRINGS IT INTO OUR BODIES. THE SMALL INTESTINE IS 7.5 METRES LONG. THE REASON WHY THE SMALL INTESTINE IS SMALL, BECAUSE IT IS THE THINNER ONE. THE SMALL INTESTINE FITS BECAUSE IT IS CRAMPED INTO OUR BODY.

THE LARGE INTESTINE THE LARGE INTESTINE TAKES ALL THE WATER OUT OF THE WASTE AND THE REST GOES OUT OF OUR BODIES. THE LARGE INTESTINE IS 1.5 METRES LONG AND 6-7 CM WIDE. THE LARGE INTESTINE IS CALLED THE LARGE INTESTINE, BECAUSE IT IS THICKER THAN THE SMALL INTESTINE.

WHAT DOES IT DO? THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IS A MIX OF DIFFERENT ACIDS THAT HELP DIGEST FOOD. THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IS THE PROCESS OF YOUR FOOD AFTER IT HAS BEEN EATEN. THE FOOD TAKES 3 DAYS TO BE DIGESTED.

THE END THANK YOU FOR WATCHING MY POWERPOINT AND HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE ENJOYED IT.
