REVISED STANDARDS Staff Qualifications: Old 1.2.4 The Community Recreation Assistant has Associates Degree in Recreation, Business, Hospitality or closely related field or 2 years recreation or related field work experience. New: 1.2.4 At least one of the Community Recreation Assistant has Associates Degree in Recreation, Business, Hospitality or closely related field or 2 years recreation or related field work experience. Staff Training: Old: 1.3.13 All staff have completed C.A.R.E. training. 1.3.14 All staff hold a Food Handler Certification. REVISED STANDARDS Facility Old: 2.2.22 Safety and informational signage is professional in appearance and displayed where needed (vice all combined into one sign at a single location). Programming: Old: 3.7.8 Drop-in activities are offered at Community Recreation facilities on a daily basis. Examples include family game night, indoor putt-putt, indoor family inflatable section, shuffleboard and coloring contests. New: 3.7.8 No fee drop-in activities are offered through your Community Recreation facilities (inside or outside) on a weekly basis. They are offered either in-house or through a partnership with an off-installation provider. They are all priced to at least break even (excluding commercial shuttle services). Tours. Tours may or may not provide transportation and includes a destination facilitated sightseeing guide services. Outings. Outings are facilitated activities that take place at a destination and may or may not include transportation. New: 3.2 Trips, Tours and Outings: Community Recreation organizes trips, tours and outings for all eligible customers including active duty, families, retirees, command groups and for other N9 programs (Liberty, CYP, etc.) to various off-installation venues. They are offered either in-house or through a partnership with an off-installation provider. They are all priced to at least break even (including commercial shuttle services). Tours. Tours may or may not provide transportation and includes a destination facilitated sightseeing guide services (such as a sightseeing tour of piazza duomo, haunted ghost tour, etc.). Outings. Outings are facilitated activities that take place at a destination and may or may not include transportation (such as hiking, rock climbing, or white water rafting, etc.).

REVISED STANDARDS Programming: Old: 3.5.2 Offers rental of other types of commercial grade outdoor recreation equipment not related to human-powered equipment (camping trailers, Segways, RVs, boats, etc.) . New: 3.5.2 Offers rental of other types of commercial grade outdoor recreation equipment not related to human-powered equipment (camping trailers, Segways, RVs, boats, etc.) or provides referral information to customers for companies that do provide rentals. Referrals should be to a nearby exchange or within a 30 minute drive for an off-base supplier. Old: 3.5.3 Offers retail sale of consumable supplies needed for the operation of the rental equipment (firewood, propane, bait, etc.) New: 3.5.3 Offers retail sale of consumable supplies needed for the operation of the rental equipment (firewood, propane, bait, etc.) or provides customers information about where to purchase supplies. Referrals should be to a nearby exchange or within a 30 minute drive for an off-base supplier.

REVISED STANDARDS Programming: Old: 3.4.3 Ticket prices average a 10% or better discount over gate/commercial ticket prices (overall average for all tickets). New: 3.4.3 Ticket prices are discounted at least 10% or more over gate/commercial ticket prices (overall average for all tickets). Old: 3.7.5 Community Recreation programs are offered at a minimum of 2- 9 programs per month determined by base size (see chart below). These programming hours exclude trips, tours, outings, classes or special events. These are staff directed programs either in or outside of a facility. Examples are tournaments, paintball, themed activities, etc. New: 3.7.5 Community Recreation programs are offered at a minimum of 2- 9 programs per month determined by base size (see chart below). Examples are coloring contests, tournaments, paintball, themed activities, etc.
