Charity actions taken in Gimnazjum nr 4 in Wloclawek: Pupils, staff and parents work together to support a range of charities

School fundraising events for two schools in Malawi and Madagaskar. DISTANCE ADOPTION School fundraising events for two schools in Malawi and Madagaskar. There are two big sales organized at school to raise funds: bake sale prepared by teachers and art sale with craft stall prepared by students. The products are sold for students, teachers and parents and the money is sent to those schools.

THE GRAND FINALE One-day public money-collection organized by „Wielka Orkierstra Swiątecznej Pomocy” (The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation) to support children medical care and hospitals. We organize a big auction with vouchers prepared by teachers, parents and students. The auction is followed by a great charity concert where our talented students, teachers and parents sing and play instruments. Some student also work as volunteers collecting money at school and in public places.

FRIENDS OF ELDERLY Loneliness has a devastating impact on the lives of elderly people and it’s on the rise. That's why we visit nursing homes for elderly in our town to sing carols and Christmas songs for pensioners.

SUPPORTING ANIMALS SHELTER TAKE A DOG FOR A WALK! Collecting food, blankets and toys for different animals for the Animals Shelter in Wloclawek. The long-term action called' A run on four paws'- students take the dogs from the shelter for a walk.

WE VOLUNTEER TOWARDS HEALTH Collecting money to help our former student to get a leg prosthesis. Collecting plastic bottles caps. They are given to different charities to support children with medical problems and terminal diseases

PERFORMANCES FOR KIDS 'Winter break with preschoolers'- students go to different playschools and give performances for kids. School theatre and profilactic performances shown in different schools.

'HELPING PEERS IN NEED' Voluntary help in cooperation with a Social Welfare Center - spending free time with children from families with social problems playing games or helping doing homework. Voluntary help at school - better at learning students help other students who have problems with understanding different subjects and doing homework.

'A PILE OF A PENNY' Long-term action when we collect only yellow coins and give them to one of the local charities.
