Important Dates: Information Reminders: Birthdays: 10/02: Lexie Dear parents, We have accomplished so much this last month. We are still going over daily routines, procedures and the importance of following school and classroom rules. As you have noticed, students have begun taking multiplication timed tests. I know that this is still a new concept for the students, and I ask that you continue to practice with your child at home. Students also took their first AR Test last week, and took home their second AR book. Please make sure that your child is reading it daily. Thank you, Mrs. Villaseñor Important Dates: Information 10/06: Field Trip-Tanaka Farms 10/09: Family Mass @ 9:45 a.m. 10/14: School Wide Mass 10/17: School Wide Rosary 10/17: STAR Testing Begins 10/21-10/23: Fall Carnival 10/24: Early Dismissal 10/31: Halloween Parade Birthdays: 10/02: Lexie 10/14: Janelle **************************************** Novel is due on October 17th: Judy Moody Was in a Mood AR Test every Thursday Thank you to all of you who have sent in the $5 class donation. If you have not done so, please turn in ASAP Reminders: Students should be practicing multiplication facts: 1’s-4’s. Students should be reading 20-30 mns. daily. Reading log must include summary (2 paragraphs, at least 10 sentences). Full credit will not be given for incomplete reading logs. I have attached a copy of reading log to class tab page on school’s website, in case you lose it and need another one. It is very important that your child remember to write his/her name on their homework. They are also responsible for taking it out of their folder and placing it in homework basket every morning. I will no longer go through their folders looking for forgotten homework, any homework turned in after I do the morning homework check will be counted as late and points will be deducted. Starting next week, I will send out spelling words on Tuesdays. Spelling Test will be every Monday.
